What is a cacao medallion?
Each medallion is a single-serving 1 oz piece of pure cacao (or cacao relative), making it simple to portion out your drink
What is a cacao variety?
Just like apples all come from apple trees but taste completely different—from crisp and sweet to tart—cacao has distinct varieties, each with its own unique flavor profile, origin, and characteristics.
What is a cacao cousin?
Cacao belongs to the Theobroma plant family, which includes wild "cousin" species like Theobroma bicolor (also known as Macambo or Pataxte), Theobroma grandiflorum (Copuazu), and Theobroma subincanum (Cupui). These related species share similar properties with cacao but offer their own distinct flavors and textures.
Orders & Shipping
When will my order ship?
We ship monthly orders right after the first Tuesday of each month.
- Ordering early in the month: If you place your order before the 20th of the current month, you will receive that month’s package.
- Ordering late in the month: Orders placed after 20th will ship with the following month’s scheduled batch.

How do I apply my member discount?
